4 Steps to Dominate Instagram with Your Photo Booth Business

Instagram has to be one of our favorite platforms to use for social media. Not just because we love posting pictures, especially things that come from the photo booth, but it's that we've actually landed some of our biggest success through Instagram.

And you can too!

Instagram is completely free. Of course, you can pay for ads if you choose to do so, but it really comes down to posting the best content you can.

Your Profile

So, a couple of things that you want to follow with Instagram, similar to Facebook, is your profile.

You want to make sure that your profile is very professional. Keep your logo as your profile image, so again, every time you post, people are seeing your logo. Make sure that your name is shown there too.

What to Post?

What do you post, though?

If you're looking to reach corporate clients, for example, we recommend posting things that have to do with marketing, reaching their clients, that kind of stuff.

But remember to make it fun and interactive, while still using pictures from the photo booth! One of the worst things you can do as a photo booth company on Instagram is consistently post random images of people in your photo booth.

Why?

Because no one's going to relate to that ... well, except for the person that's in the image. Even though you might think it's an awesome picture, and so do the people in the photo, that's probably it.

You want to be relatable to the masses.

Post things that are fun in general! Dogs and cats, for example, are really good content. Stick your dog in front of your photo booth and take some photos or perhaps have them walking around with a prop.

Things that are funny and light-hearted will always earn you more interaction with people.

And at the end of the day, it's better to gain interaction than it is to constantly be selling people on your product.

And remember, consistency is key. You want to be posting on a regular basis. Try to post every day if possible!

#hashtags

Hashtags are also really important when it comes to Instagram. Honestly, use hashtags like your life depended on it!

Alright, maybe don't go that crazy, but you get the idea.

Try to use different hashtags all the time. Depending on which target market you're going after, you should try to use hashtags that pertain to that particular market.

The nice thing about Instagram, too, is that when you start typing out the hashtag, it'll give you a suggestion of the top-rated hashtags, or most viewed hashtags that correspond with the first couple of letters that you've actually put in there.

Also, try to use variations. If you were going to use #photoboothlosangeles, you could also use #losangelesphotobooth. This way you're targeting those people regardless of how they searched for that particular hashtag.

Interaction

It used to be that you could go and follow people and then unfollow them and the Instagram algorithm would help you.

Well, not anymore.

Now, Instagram puts more focus on general interaction. When you're first starting out, interact with the people who like and comment on your posts.

You can also go to pages similar to yours and leave comments. But remember, your comments should be genuine. Don't put some spammy message like, "Nice pic!"

Take a few moments and make your comment unique. It'll stand out more and encourage people to visit your profile.

We hope this article will help you to dominate Instagram with your photo booth business! But remember, what works for one person won't work for everyone. Make sure you take note of which social media platforms are working best for your business. At the end of the day, you want to have the most conversions possible!
